Everyone knows that it is easier for companies that provide Benefits to their employees to keep their employees on a long term basis. It is equally true that it is getting harder and harder for employers to afford to provide Benefits to the employees, and everyone loses when Benefits are lost. Disability, Life Insurance, Accident coverage, Supplemental Health Option Plan, Heart & Stroke and Cancer coverage plans are available. These Voluntary Benefits / Work-Site products can be utilized by you, the employer, in the retention of employees by offering these Benefits and at no cost to your company! This program contains a wide variety of products that can be chosen by you to fit the specific needs of your employee group. Offered through an A rated carrier, and priced affordably, these products are only available to the employees when purchased through your program endorsement.

There is a vast array of products that are available including Disability Coverage, Heart & Stroke, Supplemental Health Option Plan, Accident Coverage and a variety of Life Insurance plans. We have experienced large employee interest specifically for the Life and Disability products. Please note that, under the Disability Plan, there is no up charge as it relates to smokers versus non-smokers. In addition, the Disability rates are Unisex rated. That is; men enjoy the lower, female rates. If the majority of your employees are in the field, they would have some problems obtaining a Disability policy on their own. Certainly the purchase limits would be less. Employees can purchase these full Disability policies, but only as an employee of your company. The Disability policy can be maintained to age 70, if still employed, or to age 65, if retired. The Disability policy, like all other policies within this program, is portable, and in the event the employee is terminated from their relationship with your company, the employee can maintain the policy directly with the carrier to the ages mentioned above. They would only need to be crossed off of your company group billing and the carrier will automatically invoice that individual directly. Another benefit of the Disability program is that when the Disability premium is taken on a post-tax basis, there are no tax consequences or taxes taken out of the Disability Benefit payments, in the event the benefit is used. Finally, this policy is simplified issue underwriting, meaning it is easier to qualify for coverage. This particular policy cannot be purchased, as quoted, except thorough this employer sponsored program. We also have excellent Life Insurance products available including a Universal Life product that is effective to age 95. This product is available to employees, spouses, children and grandchildren. The majority of Life Insurance policies are, in fact, purchased on a Term Life basis versus a Universal or Whole Life Policy basis. Once again, the rates are Unisex in nature; the same rates apply to men and women. Typically in Life Insurance, the cost associated with purchasing a Life Insurance policy is significantly higher for men than women. Therefore, this provides a tremendous benefit to your male employees. This policy is portable and once the coverage is secured, it can be taken with the employee in the event their employment is terminated. This allows the employee to keep the coverage in force and pay the premiums directly to the carrier. This Term Life policy is a 20-Year Term. They are guaranteed renewable to age 70 and do not require proof of insurability if the policy is renewed after the 20 Year Term or converted to a Universal Life policy. The Term Life product can be converted to a permanent (Universal) policy to age 65 without proof of insurability. The Life policies are also simplified issue underwriting There are many benefits as it relates to this particular program. In all cases we have been involved with; it is interpreted by employees as a tremendous employer provided Benefit. Although there are many coverages that are available for purchase, these are the products in which we have experienced the greatest interest. Premiums are payroll deducted, and paid in arrears; versus in advance. Therefore, there is never a worry that your company will pay premiums that are uncollected from an employee. In addition, for a group comprising 50 or more, we can request Guaranteed Contingent Issue status, which means that there will be only three qualifying questions for eligibility. If your company does gain that distinction, many employees that may not qualify due to health issues under the standard program, would become eligible.
